Baby Eli

A couple months ago, my good friend had an adorable baby boy, Eli. I don't normally specialize in newborn photography but I really wanted to give her a nice gift so I decided I would take his newborn photos. It was my first time photographing a baby and I made sure his mom posed him as I wanted to since he was so small and fragile, I didn't want to risk anything. Thankfully, the session turned out better than I expected and I'm so thrilled I was able to preserve these memories for her, as we all know that babies grow so fast. Here are just a few of my favorites from that session.

Daytona Beach Photographer - Adames/Ortiz Family

I've known these two families for a while now and it's so wonderful to see their family grow. We decided to wait until Brianna was 8 weeks old to take her portraits and include her grandparents in for the fun! Here's one of my favorite of little Brianna, her brother, parents, and grandparents:

It was one of those chilly days here in FL so after a few shots, we decided to go indoors to Brianna's grandparents home and do a few more there.

Aside from weddings, one of the things I enjoy doing is photographing babies. You can't get a bad picture of them and they are so easy to pose. All the props were her mommy's and I think if I specialized in baby photography, I'd go crazy buying a bunch of props and hammocks and baskets! I think it is so beautiful and you can really get creative with them.

You may or may not have noticed but I've been playing with my blog header a little bit, changing the images and re-arranging things. I'd like to have a really pretty collage of a few images for now, but in the future, what I really want is to have pictures taken of myself. I'm afraid that this might come off as being vain, which I'm really nervous about, but many times, I've heard the importance of having some nice profile pictures for your website and blog to show your prospective clients who you are. I'm a big time visual person so I really want to incorporate some nice photos of me on my sites. In the mean time though, I'll have a pretty collage up until I can get decent photos of myself :)

Speaking of pretty photos, I have a few of my favorites to show you here from a recent baby session. Baby Anaya was born about two months ago. She has two beautiful parents and three adorable brothers, so you know she will be well taken care of. I've never done a baby session before so I had asked Amanda, her mom, to see if I could come over their house one day and take a few pictures for my portfolio. I had such a great time and I am so greatful that they were able to give me this awesome opportunity.
