Wedding at the Omni Orlando Resort

Let me just say that the Omni was just gorgeous!! They have so many neat places for pictures and beautiful stairs and fountains and lounge areas - my favorite!

A few days ago, I had the pleasure once again of joining Jennifer Werneth to document this very special day. The food was absolutely delicious (yes I was actually able to eat) and all the details were truely stunning. The bride is cuban so when they started playing some merengue and salsa, I wanted to put my camera down and join them on the dance floor, that's how much fun it was :) But of course, I also love capturing these type of fun shots during the festivities so I stayed behind my camera :)

Here are just a few of my favorites from the day...

Christina's veil was so beautiful, and long. The wind was blowing and her veil softly fell upon her bridesmaids as they were walking behind her. It was so fun!

The detals were truely stunning. I love tall trumphet vases with curly willow. A nice touch were the lights that were placed under the flowers. It truely made the centerpieces glow.

This was right after the bouquet toss. It seems like one of the bridesmaids chipped her nail while trying to catch it

Happy Tuesday! :)

Family Dinner

Ever since Lamar and I were married, and moved to Port Orange, we don't get to see much of my parents anymore, which makes me sad, because I miss my moms home cooking, and I miss them of course :) Since both of our lives are so busy, we try to at least have a nice family dinner one saturday a month, sometimes two, but lately it's only been one. We love going there because it makes us feel so relaxed and at peace. Lamar loves relaxing on the recliner chair and I always look forward to see what my mom is up to in the kitchen. One other thing that I really look forward when we go there is seeing my baby, Snoopy. We adopted him when he was only a couple of weeks old and he would always sleep with me so I got really attached. I'd love to have taken him with me but I know he is well taken care of at my parents. He also has three other friends there to play with so I know he's not bored :)

For our last visit, my mom made our favorite: Salmon cooked in the oven with lemon juice, garlic and some wine and she also made shrimp, mashed potatoe, salad, and rice. My sister drove up from Orlando to eat with us and we also had our friend from Altamonte drive up that we haven't seen in a while, so that was nice too. I bought my camera with me but nobody really wanted there picture taken so I only snapped one of my sister and our friend, and of course, my Snoopy :)

My adorable baby Snoopy.

Next month, it's going to be crazy for Lamar and I. We have two out of town weddings and a camping trip so we probably won't be able to spend a saturday evening with our parents, but we'll be bringing back plenty of pictures! :)

Happy Monday!

Rachael's Belly session

*All photos are property of Jackie Beale Photography. Please do not steal them.

A couple of days ago, I shot my very first belly session. I had so much fun spending the evening with Rachael. She was so laid back for the session and was up for anything, which I absolutely love because it lets me get more creative :)

They are expecting a baby boy very soon :)

Dreams and Opportunities: Part II

*All photos are property of Jackie Beale Photography

As I mentioned in an earlier post a few days ago, I had the honor to be able to shoot alongside Jennifer Werneth. This was my first time as an assistant photographer and I truely feel really blessed to have this opportunity come my way. I remember a few months ago, I'd say to myself that I would never be able to do this because I didn't know where to start, but it's so amazing to see over time how everything unfolds right before you and sometimes you have to pause to think about all the wonderful and exciting things that are happening, and how they happened. It really means alot to a beginning photographer to have these opportunities and to get to know more of the industries peers and learn from them. That, to me, is priceless.

I can't say enough great this about this wedding. It was so much fun from start to finish. I met up with Jennifer and her husband Glen, at the Sheraton hotel just as Jennifer was wrapping up the getting ready photos. We took a few pictures in the beautiful hotel lobby and then headed to Polasek Gardens for the ceremony. The couple could not have chosen a better location. Not only did it serve well for the ceremony, it also was perfect for pictures of the bride and groom alone, and they made sure they got plenty of time for that. It's so important when a couple does that and not have to rush because it ensures that they get the pictures they want and it really loosens the stress from the photographer to let their creativity flow :). Since they did not see each other before the ceremony, this alotted time that they set aside after the ceremony was perfect!!

Here are just a few of my favorites from the day...

Anticipation: Just before being pronounced as husband and wife

I loved all the bubbles for the first dance!

My jaw dropped when I entered the reception hall. There were so many juicy details and the lighting really changed the whole look and mood

NoDoubt w/Paramore

I am sure everyone has heard the latest buzz by now but I am VERY excited to announce that I will finally be going to a NODOUBT concert!!! For the longest time in my life, I have been wanting to go see them in concert, but never had the opportunity to do so for a few small reasons. It broke my heart when they announced that they were no longer a group. I could not understand how such a successful band would break up for good. Well it looks like they are coming back full force! We have purchased tickets for their June 2nd concert in Tampa and will be going with a good group of friends.

Mariangeles and David

*All photos are property of Jackie Beale Photography

She's argentinian, he's colombian and they make the cutest couple ever! David has quite a sense of humor that I did not know. It was so much fun to be able to see that side of him come out and the way they interacted with each other during our session. Mari loves the camera and is not afraid to take pictures. David was a little hessitant at first but totally let loose as the session progressed. We headed out to their location of choice in Ponce Inlet by the lighthouse, well, because that's where David proposed to Mari! They could not have picked a better place to have their engagement pictures. It makes me so happy when a couple picks a location that has some meaning to them. It makes the session that much better and it really puts them at ease :)

They are getting married next month and I am happy to say that Lamar and I will be attending as guests. I, of course, will have my camera handy and will be taking a few pictures. Their wedding is going to be so beautiful I just can't wait! :)

After a quick change of outfit, we headed to the beach. There were so many cool places along our way that I kept stopping them for a picture :)

We finally made it to the beach

and the beautiful Ponce Inlet lighthouse. I have never seen how it looks like at sunset but I'm so glad we chose this day because the light could not have gotten any better. It was a beautiful end to their session.
